Add translated captions to any video with AI.
Pick the language spoken in your video and the language you want captions in. Qten transcribes the speech and adds captions in any of 29 languages, with the original audio left untouched.
Qten AI is an AI video caption translator for creators and teams who publish in more than one language. Upload a video, choose the spoken language and a caption language, and get a video with styled, translated captions you can post to TikTok, Reels, Shorts or YouTube. Add music or an AI voice in the same step.
What is said in the video, and the language you want to read

How the AI video caption translator works
- 1
Choose the languages
Set the language spoken in the video, or let Qten detect it, then pick the language the captions should be in. Both come from the same 29-language list.
- 2
Upload your video
In the Qten app, upload a file or pick a video from your media library. The video needs clear speech for the captions to work.
- 3
Pick a caption style
Choose how the captions look and where they sit on screen. You can also add background music or an AI voice in the same pass.
- 4
Generate and share
Qten transcribes the speech, translates each line and adds the captions. Download the video or publish it to your channels from the same account.
Example ways to use translated captions
A few typical setups to try once you are in the app.
A 60-second product demo recorded in English, with Spanish captions for customers in Latin America.
A cooking short spoken in Portuguese, with English captions for a wider TikTok audience.
A founder update recorded in German, with French captions for the team in Paris.
A tutorial spoken in English, with Hindi captions for a growing audience in India.
Who uses translated video captions
Creators growing abroad
Reach viewers who do not speak your language without re-recording anything. Keep your own voice and let the captions do the translating.
Product and marketing teams
Localize demos, announcements and ads for each market by changing the caption language instead of re-shooting.
Course creators
Make lessons easier to follow for learners who read more comfortably than they listen in a second language.
Sound-off viewing
Most social video is watched without sound. Captions in the viewer's language keep your message clear on a muted feed.
Interviews and podcasts
Turn a video interview into captioned clips in the language each audience prefers.
Internal and training videos
Share the same recording with teams in different countries, each reading in their own language.
Tips for better translated captions
- Start with clean audio. Clear speech and little background noise give the most accurate transcript to translate.
- Set the spoken language yourself for short clips or strong accents, where auto-detect can guess wrong.
- Keep sentences short when you can. Shorter lines translate more naturally and are easier to read on screen.
- Put the captions where they will not cover faces or on-screen text, and pick a high-contrast style.
- Remember the audio is not changed. Mention the language in your post so viewers know captions are available.
